Feed

The feed is the list of posts you see on Ecency’s home page. Each post shows its title, the community it was published in, its rewards and its votes and comments. Click the three dots on a post for more actions.

The feed has two parts: a source (where posts come from) and a sort (how they are ranked).

Sources

Source	What it shows
Following	Posts and reblogs from the people you follow, newest first. Only shown when you are logged in.
Communities	Posts from the communities you joined. Only shown when you are logged in.
Global	Posts from the whole platform.

When you open a tag or topic (for example from a post’s tags), that tag shows as the selected source and the sorts below apply to it.

If your Following or Communities feed is empty, follow more people or join more communities. See Discover.

The sort tabs sit above the feed. Other people's posts are blurred in this screenshot.

Sorts

The Communities and Global sources can be sorted by:

Sort	What it shows
Trending	Posts gaining the most votes and rewards right now.
Hot	Popular posts from the past few hours.
New	The newest posts, sorted by publish time.
Payouts	Posts with the highest pending rewards.
Promoted	Posts promoted with Ecency Points. See Boost and promote.
Muted	Posts that were muted, for example by community moderators.

The Following feed is always chronological, so it has no sort.

Show or hide reblogs

On the Following feed, use the Show reblogs toggle to include or hide reblogs. Turn it off to see only the posts written by the people you follow.

Change the layout

On community and profile pages, use the layout button next to the menu to switch between Classic and Grid.

On mobile

The home screen of the Ecency mobile app shows the feed as tabs at the top. By default you see Following, Communities, Trending and Hot (or Trending, Hot and New when you’re logged out). You can customize which tabs appear. See Using the Ecency mobile app.
